Today I’m getting into fermented and cultured foods as a follow up on my probiotic/prebiotic post + share with you how to make your own pickles in 3 simple steps!

Cultured or pickled and fermented veggies are mainly known for their probiotics. Basically during theses processes certain nutrients are amplified + it ups good bacteria while getting rid of the bad. So that is why they are vital for gut health restoration!

🌱How to make your own pickles!

  1. Fill a jar with preferred herbs/seasonings + mini cucumbers (I used fresh dill, a few garlic cloves and garlic powder, + some chili flakes)
  2. Take another jar (same size) and fill with water + 1 Tbsp salt. Mix, dissolve, and pour over the first jar.
  3. Let it sit for 2-3 days on the counter or pantry and check the taste! If you want them more sour then leave on the counter until satisfied. Once you like the taste stick them in the fridge. So simple!
